This project aims to harmoniously merge traditional Chinese cultural experiences with creative practices, fostering collaborative design experiences that cultivate a deep sense of belonging and happiness within families.
Through this integration, the project aspires to strengthen the family structure, enhance relationships, and evoke a collective sense of joy, rekindling the bond of togetherness within the Chinese families.

The idea behind the project was inspired by my own experiences as well as the widespread conversation on the issue of “toxic parenting”.
Observing many people suffering from psychological distress and, regrettably, turning to extreme means as a result of family strife has highlighted the significant societal ramifications associated with this problem.
Given its significance, I feel obligated to advocate for more awareness and action to improve deeply ingrained family relations in Chinese society.
In addition, I want to hold this unique opportunity to explore design categories and complex cultural contexts in a way I had never done before for my graduation project.
Recognizing the heavy nature of the subject matter, I aimed to infuse the concept with a
light-hearted and optimistic approach, utilizing the engaging and accessible medium of gaming to navigate the complexities of the topic in a more digestible and bonding manner.
The puzzle game format was selected with the intention of expanding upon fundamental game principles. Players can effortlessly participate in the game while deriving pleasure from a stress-free experience by doing so. Also, the puzzle format fosters of spontaneous moments of creativity and connection, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.
